Aveo has been manufactured since 2002, originally by the South
Korean General Motors subsidiary.
The first generation
Aveo was called Daewood Kalos
(in South Korea). Today, it is marketed worldwide in 120 countries. In January 2011,
the Chevrolet Aveo (second generation Aveo) debuted in South Africa, America, Japan and
4 other countries.
In Latin, Aveo means “desire”.

was presented at the 2002 Paris Motor show. The Aveo Kalos was sold in three available body styles,
a four-door sedan, a five-door hatch-back and a three-door hatch-back.
The T300 Chevrolet
Aveo was presented with 19 inch wheels, a six-speed manual transmission system and
a 1.4 litre turbocharged. The Aveo Chevrolet Cobalt was introduced to the Brazilian market with a 1.4
and 1.8 Econo.Flex engine.
In 2011 the Chevrolet
Aveo got an over-all score of 5 starts. 95% for adult occupancy, 87% for child
occupancy, 54% for pedestrian safety and 93% for safety assist.
